Sri Lanka wraps up its white-ball home assignment against Pakistan with a three-match women’s T20I series.
Unlike the preceding ODIs, these T20Is fall outside the ICC Women’s Championship, but both sides will treat the fixtures as a valuable chance to fine-tune combinations ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2028 in Australia and New Zealand.
Sri Lanka, third in Group B at the recent T20 World Cup, where they missed the semi-finals on run rate to the West Indies, continue under the leadership of Chamari Athapaththu across the formats.
Pakistan, meanwhile, welcome a change at the helm for the shortest format. Muneeba Ali Siddiqui will take over as T20I captain, with regular skipper Fatima Sana travelling to England to become the first Pakistani woman to play in The Hundred.
Sri Lanka vs Pakistan women’s T20I series dates
The three-match series begins on Friday, July 31, at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota. It concludes at the same venue on Tuesday, August 4.
The T20Is form the second half of the tour, following the three-match ODI series that ran on July 23, 25 and 28, also in Hambantota.

Sri Lanka vs Pakistan women’s squads and team news
The PCB named a 15-member T20I squad captained by Muneeba Ali Siddiqui, making eight changes to the group that featured at the recent T20 World Cup as the selectors turned towards youth and squad depth. Fatima Sana was rested for the leg to take up her Hundred commitment in England.
Sri Lanka Cricket has, at the time of writing, confirmed its 15-member ODI group led by Athapaththu, with the T20I squad still to be officially announced. That ODI party largely retained the core that competed at the T20 World Cup, with opener Vishmi Gunaratne and wicketkeeper Anushka Sanjeewani both back in the mix.
