Newcastle Jets announce departure of defender

Newcastle Jets defender Nathan Grimaldi has left the Isuzu UTE A-League club by mutual consent.

Grimaldi departs McDonald Jones Stadium after scoring one goal across 11 appearances in all competitions.

The 23-year-old joined the Jets from rivals Sydney FC in 2023-24 and signed a new two-year deal ahead of the current campaign.

Grimaldi made one A-Leagues appearance in 2024-25.

As for Newcastle’s Ninja A-League team, they have farewelled Ava Piazza.

Meanwhile, Jets goalkeeper Zac Bowling has also joined Blacktown City on a season-long loan ahead of the NPLM NSW season.
