With six years to go before the start of the 2030 World Cup, Spain, one of the host countries, has already decided which of its stadiums will host the matches.
According to Marca, Spain will use two stadiums in its capital city, Madrid, for the tournament: Santiago Bernabeu (Real Madrid) and Civitas Metropolitano (Atletico Madrid). Barcelona will also feature two stadiums: Camp Nou (Barcelona) and Front Stadium (Espanyol).
The other designated stadiums are:
- La Cartuja (Seville)
- La Rosaleda (Malaga)
- La Romareda (Zaragoza)
- San Mames (Bilbao)
- Reale Arena (San Sebastian)
- Riazor (La Coruna)
- Gran Canaria (Las Palmas)
It’s worth noting that the 2030 World Cup will be the first in history to be held across six countries. In honor of the tournament’s centennial, the first three games will be hosted by Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay. The remaining matches will take place in Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.
