ELIZA West will miss round one of the 2026 NAB AFLW season after copping a one-match suspension for striking during Hawthorn’s match simulation against the Western Bulldogs on Saturday.
The Hawks’ vice-captain is still able to play in the three remaining pre-season fixtures, with bans gained during pre-season hitouts only applying in-season.
West’s sanction relates to an incident in the fourth quarter against Elisabeth Georgostathis.
