The Indian men’s and women’s basketball teams will compete at the FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup 2026, which will be held in Kallang, Singapore, from April 1 to 5.

A total of 12 teams, divided into four groups, will compete in the main draw of each men’s and women’s competition at the FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup 2026. However, Indian teams will start from the qualifying rounds.
The Indian men’s 3×3 basketball team, world No. 83, is in Pool D of the qualifying round alongside Kazakhstan (55th), Bahrain (19th) and Hong Kong China (84th).
Only the group winner will progress to the main draw, where Qatar and New Zealand await in Pool D.
India have retained the same four-member men’s team for the 2026 edition, which competed last year and made it to the quarter-finals after 12 years.
Defending champions Australia are the most successful nation in the men’s FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup with five titles and are in Pool B with the People’s Republic of China.
The men’s Indian basketball team is yet to win the FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup. The Indian women’s 3×3 basketball team, however, won the inaugural edition in 2013.
Currently ranked 88th in the world, the Indian women’s 3×3 basketball team will start from Pool B of the qualifying round on Thursday.
India are pitted with Malaysia (world No. 44) and Turkmenistan (world No. 70). The group winner will join Mongolia and New Zealand in Pool B of the main round.
Last year, the Indian women’s 3×3 basketball team failed to make it past the qualifying rounds.
The FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup, now in its ninth edition, will conclude on Sunday.
