Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker and world champion Samrat Rana will spearhead India’s challenge at the Asian Shooting Championship 2026, which will run at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi from February 4 to 13.

Organised by the Asian Shooting Confederation, the New Delhi meet will feature competitions in rifle and pistol events.
A total of 311 shooters from 20 countries will compete in the Indian capital, with the hosts fielding the largest contingent of 118 athletes across senior and junior categories.
India’s senior shooting squad features more than 50 athletes across 15 medal events, including five defending champions from 2025.
Last year’s winners include Rajkanwar Singh Sandhu (25m centre fire pistol), Gurpreet Singh (25m standard pistol), Elavenil Valarivan (10m air rifle), Sift Kaur Samra (50m rifle 3 positions) and Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar (50m rifle 3 positions).
India’s men’s 10m air pistol line-up features world champion Samrat Rana and world No. 2 Varun Tomar.
India are also among the frontrunners in women’s pistol, spearheaded by Paris 2024 medallist Manu Bhaker, who will compete in both the 10m air pistol and 25m pistol events.
Joining her is world No. 2 Suruchi Singh, who was a three-time ISSF World Cup winner in 2025 and the World Cup Final champion.
Bhaker won three bronze medals at last year’s edition, including an individual bronze in women’s 10m air pistol.
Ashi Chouksey (world No. 14) and Olympian Anjum Moudgil, a former world silver medallist, headline India’s hopes in women’s 50m rifle 3 positions.
Olympic finalist Arjun Babuta and 2022 world champion Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil are in India’s 10m air rifle squad. World No. 4 Anish Bhanwala leads India’s team in the men’s 25m rapid fire event.
