Baseball fans in Pakistan will get their first opportunity to watch the baseball matches live after the Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) and Baseball United—the world’s first professional baseball league focused on the Middle East and South Asia—signed a deal to broadcast every game of the league’s inaugural season across the country.
The partnership ensures that Pakistani fans will be able to watch all 21 games of Baseball United’s debut season this November and December on PTV Sports, including the much-anticipated opening clash between the Karachi Monarchs and the Mumbai Cobras—a contest already being billed as the “baseball version” of the subcontinent rivalry.
The Karachi Monarchs are Pakistan’s first professional baseball franchise and will be led by a mix of international stars and homegrown talent. The team includes four Pakistani players—Musharaf Khan, Faisal Hayat, Amar Mahmood, and Pierce Khan—alongside top athletes from the United States, the Netherlands, and South Korea.
Their opening series, the Subcontinent Series, will see Karachi take on Mumbai in Dubai from November 14 to 16, marking the first-ever meeting between professional baseball teams from Pakistan and India—a historic step in promoting regional sports diplomacy.
The league’s debut follows a successful exhibition series earlier this year that drew nearly three million Pakistani viewers per game—despite not featuring a local franchise or an India-Pakistan rivalry. With Karachi now part of the mix, Baseball United is expecting record-breaking engagement.
The Season One schedule includes 21 matches in 30 days, featuring entertainment, fan engagement, and appearances from baseball legends such as Mariano Rivera, Barry Larkin, Adrián Beltré, and Albert Pujols. The season finale, the United Series Championship, is set for December 12–14 in Dubai.
