Rising star joins Glory from Wanderers in reunion with double-winning coach

Perth Glory has confirmed livewire forward Bronte Trew has joined the club’s Ninja A-League squad for the Ninja A-League 2025-26 season.

The 23-year-old rose to prominence at Macarthur Rams, working under current Glory head coach Stephen Peters as the Rams claimed a NPLW Championship/Premiership double in 2024.

She was duly handed her Ninja A-League debut by Western Sydney Wanderers last season and proceeded to make 19 appearances over the course of the campaign, scoring four goals and claiming one assist.

Trew is now looking forward to building upon that strong maiden ALW season performance with Glory.

“I’m really excited to be joining Perth Glory,” she said.

“As a striker, my role is to score goals and I want to contribute as much as I can to help the team succeed this season.

“I am looking forward to working hard in pre-season and putting myself in the best possible form when the season kicks off and I can’t wait to get started.

Bronte Trew made 19 appearances for the Wanderers in her debut season.

“A quote that resonates with me is to ‘go about it the right way’ and that’s a message I carry with me in football and in life.

“For me, that means giving 100 percent whether it’s scoring goals, creating chances for my teammates or putting in the hard work off the ball.

“If I approach everything the right way, I know the rewards will come and I really believe we can achieve something special as a group this year.

“I believe we have a great group here at Glory, and I’m looking forward to playing my part in what I think will be a really exciting season.”

Glory Football Director Stan Lazaridis, meanwhile, believes that Trew will provide head coach Peters with another dangerous attacking option.

“Stephen knows how to bring the best out of Bronte and we’re really looking forward to seeing her continue the impressive development she showed with Western Sydney last season,” he said.

“She has pace to burn, is very direct and has a real eye for goal.

“We’re building an exciting squad for what we are confident will be a strong ALW campaign this year and Bronte will have a key role to play.”

The club is expected to make further squad announcements shortly.
