The Indian football team has been drawn in Group G of the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers, alongside Uzbekistan and hosts Kyrgyz Republic. The draw was held at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Thursday.
Group G matches will be played in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, in a single round-robin centralised format from October 13 to 17, 2025. India will kick off their campaign against the hosts on October 13 before facing Uzbekistan in their final group fixture on October 17.
The top team from each of the eight groups will progress to the 10th edition of the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup Finals. They will join four teams that have already qualified via the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2025 – Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Japan, Republic of Korea and People’s Republic of China.
A total of 27 football teams are competing in the qualifiers, divided into eight groups – three groups of four teams and five groups of three.

India last featured in the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup in 2005.
North Korea are the defending AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup champions and along with Japan are the joint-most successful teams in the history of the tournament with four triumphs each.
The AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup China 2026 Finals will be held from April 30 to May 17. The top four teams at the tournament will earn qualification for the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2026.
