BWF Singapore Open 2025: Chen Yufei claims women’s title as Kunlavut Vitidsarn wins men’s

Tokyo 2020 queen Chen of the People’s Republic of China and Thailand’s Vitidsarn both claimed straight games wins in the final.

Chen Yufei completed a statement week by winning the women’s singles title at the BWF Singapore Open 2025 on Sunday (1 June).

The gold medallist from Tokyo 2020 in 2021, Chen took 48 minutes to beat fellow Chinese shuttler and Asian champion Wang Zhiyi 21-11, 21-11 in the final.

Fifth-seeded Chen had handed a first defeat of the season to world number 1 and Paris 2024 champion An Seyoung in the quarter-finals.

In the men’s event, Kunlavut Vitidsarn of Thailand claimed the crown with a 21-6, 21-10 demolition of Lu Guangzu of People’s Republic of China.
