Sydney FC youngster Indiana Dos Santos has earned the January nomination for the Boost Mobile Young Footballer of the Year award.
The 17-year-old Young Matildas prospect has continued her rise as one of the Ninja A-League’s most exciting up-and-coming talents this season, scoring two goals and assisting one more through 13 league appearances in attacking midfield.
Dos Santos earned the January nomination for Boost Mobile Young Footballer of the Year via a panel appointed by the Australian Professional Leagues (APL). The panel features an assortment of media representatives and technical football experts, who vote on a 3-2-1 basis at the conclusion of each nominated monthly period throughout the season.
The teenager made six appearances, helping the Sky Blues notch three draws and one win and scoring her second goal of the season against Adelaide United.
The Boost Mobile Young Footballer of the Year nomination caps off a special month for Dos Santos, who signed a two-year contract extension with Sydney FC in mid-January before being named Shark Player of the Month after a fan vote.
Dos Santos has earned the third Boost Mobile Young Footballer of the Year nomination for 2024-25, following Canberra United midfielder Mary Stanic-Floody’s October/November nomination and Melbourne City defender Alexia Apostolakis’ nomination for December.
