Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi To Miss Zimbabwe Series; PCB To Try Out Youngsters

The star Pakistan duo of Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi is all set to miss the white-ball tour to Zimbabwe scheduled to be played after Australian tour.

As reported by Cricket Pakistan.com, the selectors are keen to rest senior players for Zimbabwe series and use the series as an opportunity to provide some game-time to young cricketers.

Along with Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi, the likes of Mohammad Rizwan and Naseem Shah could also be rested for the series. However, all of them are likely to be selected for the Australia series that will be played before the Zimbabwe one.

Pakistan are slated to play three T20Is and three ODIs in Zimbabwe with the first ODI starting on 24th of November. Against Australia too, Pakistan will play three ODIs and three T20Is, and that tour will commence on November 4th and the final T20I will be played on November 18th, just few days before the start of the Zimbabwe series.
