Another one! Teen signs long-term Adelaide contract as club’s talent retention trend continues

Adelaide United have secured another exciting teenager on a long-term deal, signing South Australian Ryan White on a five-year Isuzu UTE A-League deal.

White has committed long-term to the club where he made senior debut in July against Blacktown City FC in the Australia Cup. A product of Para Hills Knights, White progressed through the ranks in the FSA NTC Program before a return to Para Hills, and then on to Adelaide United in the A-Leagues club’s youth setup.

White scored 10 goals in 23 games for Adelaide’s NPL SA outfit in 2024. He’s the latest young player to sign a long-term deal with the club, joining Ethan Cox (2027), Austin Ayoubi (2026), Panagiotis Kikianis (2029) and Ethan Alagich (2029) in committing to the club long-term.

“It’s always been a dream to play for the Reds, and I’m absolutely chuffed to commit to my boyhood club,” White said.

“Adelaide United is special to me and my family, and I can’t wait to continue working hard and giving everything I have for the club.”

Reds Technical Director Ernest Faber added: “Ryan embodies everything we are looking for in a player at Adelaide United. His work ethic, dedication, and attitude, both on and off the pitch, align perfectly with the Club’s values.

“He has grown within our system, and having a player with his DNA and history with the club makes this signing even more special.

“We’re excited to continue his development as he progresses with us.”

Having sat out Round 1 of the 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League season due to a bye, Adelaide United return to competitive action in Round 2 with a home clash against Central Coast Mariners at Coopers Stadium on Saturday, October 26.
