Pakistan women’s coach disappointed with semi-final loss

Pakistan women’s cricket team head coach Muhammad Wasim expressed mixed feelings following the team’s narrow defeat to Sri Lanka in the semi-final of the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup.

While acknowledging the disappointment of not reaching the final, Wasim praised the team’s overall performance throughout the tournament. He highlighted the impressive batting partnership between Gul Feroza and Muneeba Ali, as well as the strong performances of young leg-spinners.

Wasim also lauded Sadia Iqbal for her outstanding bowling display. However, he admitted that the team needs to improve its fielding, fitness, and bowling discipline to compete at the highest level. The coach emphasised the importance of maintaining a positive mindset and implementing the team’s game plan to achieve success in future tournaments.
