ICC Reaches Pakistan for Review regarding Security and Arrangements for Champions Trophy 2025- Details

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is gearing up to host the prestigious Champions Trophy in 2025, and preparations are in full swing.

To ensure everything is on track, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has sent a five-member team to Pakistan to inspect the facilities and assess the event’s readiness.

The visiting team comprises senior officials from the ICC’s Events and Security Departments, along with the General Manager of Cricket and the Production Manager.

In addition, ICC Pitch Consultant Andy Atkinson has already made three separate visits to Pakistan since April to review the playing surfaces.

According to reports, one of the key topics of discussion between the ICC and PCB will be the tournament schedule. The PCB had submitted a tentative schedule a few months ago for review.

A source close to the matter revealed that the Indian team might be based in Lahore and could play all of their matches in the city, though the final schedule is yet to be confirmed by the ICC.

The source also indicated that it is entirely up to the ICC to decide when to finalise and announce the official schedule for the Champions Trophy 2025.
