World Athletics medal table – and what’s on Friday?

Friday is day seven of the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.

Great Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith and Amy Hunt compete in the women’s 200m final and Zharnel Hughes contests the men’s 200m final.

Meanwhile defending champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson starts her campaign in the heptathlon, with team-mates Jade O’Dowda and Abigail Pawlett also in the field.

Keely Hodgkinson and Georgia Hunter Bell will look to qualify from the women’s 800m semi-finals and George Mills runs in the men’s 5,000m heats.
