Western United farewell six players, incl. three foundation members

Western United have farewelled a trio of foundation players and three others ahead of the 2024-25 Liberty A-League season.

Emma Robers, TJ Vlajnic and Natasha Dakic – all foundation players, have departed the club, as have Lucy Richards and young pair Raquel Deralas and Silver Bell Morris.

Robers departs Ironbark Fields with the first most appearances for Western’s Liberty A-League side.

Serbia international Vlajnic played just one less than game, scoring three goals and providing five assists across two years with the 2022-23 Grand Finalists.

Dakic made 15 appearances for Western, while Richards played seven games in her first season in professional football.

Deralas and Morris arrived ahead of the club’s inaugural season but injuries prevented the duo from featuring for Western.

“On behalf of myself and everyone at the Club, I would like to thank each player for their valuable contribution to the Club,” said general manager of football Mal Impiombato.

“Creating our women’s program from scratch has been an incredible task, and the work of these players throughout the two years has been integral to the early success we have experienced.

“I wish each of these ladies all the very best in their next steps and hope they will remain fond of the time they had at Western United.”

It has been a busy off-season for Kat Smith’s Western United.
