Sydney FC have confirmed 18-year-old forward Mitch Glasson has joined Finnish side FC KTP on a season-long loan.
Having signed his first professional contract last year, Glasson now makes the move to join KTP as they return to Finnish football’s top flight following their promotion as Champions from the second division this season.

He continued: “The past few years at Sydney FC have been instrumental in my development, and I’m excited to test myself in a new environment.
“My aim is to contribute to the team’s success, grow as a player, and gain as much experience as I can in Finland.”
Arriving in their off-season, Glasson will have plenty of time to acclimatise to both his new surroundings and the team as FC KTP begin their Veikkausliiga campaign in April.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for Mitch to continue his development in a competitive European league,” said Sydney FC head coach Ufuk Talay after the deal was confirmed.
“Regular game time is crucial for a young striker, and this move will provide him with the platform to showcase his abilities and improve further.
He added: “We are excited to see how he progresses.”
Glasson becomes the latest young Sydney FC talent to have moved to Europe for loan experience following attacker Adrian Segecic’s move to the Netherlands last season.
The 18-year-old Australian youth international departs the Harbour City having made 20 appearances in total for the Sky Blues.
