The Sydney Sixers have named a 13-player squad for the biggest match of the Weber WBBL|10 season, the Sydney Smash at the SCG.
The Sixers will face fierce rivals, Sydney Thunder, in a match that could shape the top of the table as the tournament hits the halfway mark.
The Sixers will be looking to secure a third consecutive win, after knocking over the Hurricanes in Hobart and Stars in Melbourne throughout the week.
Alyssa Healy returns to the Sixers extended squad, after missing Friday’s match in Melbourne due to load management.
Cricket fans will be treated on Sunday afternoon to one of the most star-studded teams in recent memory, with Australian captain, Healy joined by world-class stars Ellyse Perry, Ash Gardner, Sophie Ecclestone and Amelia Kerr, lining up together for the Sixers.
In addition to the action on-field, Sixers fans will see a performance from star DJ duo, Kinder, who are lighting up the Stadium Series around Australia, before enjoying time on the hallowed turf, with fans on the field returning post-match to the SCG.
First ball of Sunday afternoon’s match is scheduled for 1.40pm (AEDT) and will be broadcast live on Channel 7, 7Plus, Foxtel, Kayo and ABC Sport.
Gates will open at the SCG at 9.50am, ahead of the first double-header match featuring the Hobart Hurricanes and Perth Scorchers.
