The Sydney Sixers have secured a direct path to the KFC BBL |15 Final and will travel to Perth to face the Perth Scorchers at Optus Stadium this Sunday.
Following a narrow victory over the Hobart Hurricanes at the SCG, the Sixers will depart tomorrow to take on their long-time rivals in the competition decider.
The win was highlighted by a superb batting performance from Steve Smith, whose composed 63 from 43 deliveries anchored the Sixers’ innings and helped set a challenging total of 198.
In the field, the pace-bowling attack shared the wickets with Abbott taking two, Starc, Dwarshuis taking one a piece, as well as an outstanding display by Joel Davies taking two wickets in two balls before being defended away on his hat trick ball.
The Sixers will now look to carry that momentum into the Final as they prepare for another high stakes clash with the Scorchers.
