Sam Curran joins Sixers | Squad Update

The Sydney Sixers have named a 14-player squad for tomorrow’s clash against the Melbourne Stars at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, with international recruit Sam Curran joining the group.

Fresh off his player of the final performance in the DP World ILT20 2026 for the Desert Vipers, star import Sam Curran joins the Sydney Sixers squad for the duration of the home and away KFC BBL | 15 season.

Curran comes into the squad in place of Kane Richardson, adding significant all-round depth and world-class experience.

The England international is renowned for his impact with both bat and ball, having starred across formats for England and in major T20 leagues around the world.

A left-arm seamer and aggressive batter, Curran brings versatility and match-winning capability to the already stacked Sixers line-up.

The squad blends proven Big Bash experience with emerging talent as the Sixers prepare to take on one of the Title-favourites the Stars at one of cricket’s most iconic venues.
