Former champions Peshawar Zalmi announced Bangladesh left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam as their direct signing for the upcoming 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11), scheduled from March 26 to May 3.

The franchise shared the news through its official social media platforms, posting an animated graphic of Shoriful Islam wearing the Zalmi jersey and seated on an ornate throne alongside Bengal Tigers.

“The Yellow Storm just got stronger with your arrival! Bangladesh express left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam is ready to unleash the Pakistan Super League in yellow,” Zalmi wrote in the caption.

Shoriful Islam has been a key member of the Bangladesh men’s national team since making his international debut in 2021. He has played 14 Tests, 40 One Day Internationals (ODIs), and 59 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).

He also brings significant T20 experience, having featured in 156 matches and taken 195 wickets at an average of 22.27 and an economy rate of 8.22.

In the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Islam is among the top 10 leading wicket-takers in the tournament’s history. He has taken 87 wickets in 60 innings at an average of 20.35.

The upcoming season will mark his first appearance in the PSL.

Earlier in the day, Peshawar Zalmi also signed emerging left-arm seamer Muhammad Basit, further strengthening their squad ahead of PSL 11. The tournament will feature eight teams and will be played across six venues in Pakistan for the first time.

Zalmi are set to begin their PSL 11 campaign on March 28 against Pindiz at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium.
