PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi’s Dubai visit spurs Gaddafi Stadium overhaul

PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi made a whirlwind visit to the Dubai stadium last week.

The Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore is set to undergo extensive renovations to elevate it to the standards of Dubai’s cricket stadium.

According to sources, PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi made a whirlwind visit to the Dubai stadium last week.

He spent less than an hour there, reviewing the dressing rooms, stands, hospitality boxes, and other areas.

The accompanying officials also took photos. The chairman advised that similar work be done at Gaddafi Stadium upon returning to Lahore.

Construction work is set to begin on Monday, with the central building already demolished.

Fans often complain about the lack of facilities in domestic stadiums, and efforts will be made to address these complaints.

The cricket board hopes to complete the construction work before December 31.
