PCB announces revised schedule of England Test series

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a revised schedule for the upcoming ICC World Test Championship series between Pakistan and England, set to take place from October 7 to 28, 2024.

The England team will arrive in Multan on October 2, with the Pakistan squad assembling on the same day.

Schedule Adjustments

The second Test, originally scheduled for the National Bank Stadium in Karachi from October 15-19, has been moved to the Multan Cricket Stadium. This change comes as the National Bank Stadium undergoes renovations in preparation for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. The other two Test matches will proceed as planned: the first Test from October 7-11 in Multan and the third from October 24-28 in Rawalpindi.

The PCB Director of International Cricket, Usman Wahla, expressed excitement about England’s return to Pakistan, saying, “PCB is thrilled to welcome the England men’s cricket team back to Pakistan.”

Updated Schedule:

  • October 7-11: First Test, Multan
  • October 15-19: Second Test, Multan
  • October 24-28: Third Test, Rawalpindi

England Squad: The England team for the series includes players such as Harry Brook, Zak Crawley, Joe Root, and captain Ben Stokes, along with several other key members like Chris Woakes, Jack Leach, and Ollie Stone.

This highly anticipated series marks an exciting chapter in Pakistan’s cricket calendar as the teams prepare for a competitive showdown.
