Niclas Fullkrug scored the only goal of the match for the home team in the 36th minute. Nico Schlotterbeck made a long pass over the top, allowing Fullkrug to get past PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Both teams had multiple chances to score. In the second half, PSG had two strikes within seconds of each other that hit the goalposts. First, Kylian Mbappe hit the right post, and then Achraf Hakimi hit the left post. Despite their efforts, PSG couldn’t level the score.

After his opening effort, Fullkrug looked like he might bag a second goal but couldn’t break through.

“That was actually a great game. Dortmund were brilliant, their players, individual performances all over the pitch… you could pretty much name the whole team,” said Stan Sport host Max Rushden.
