Sydney FC’s Ninja A-League showdown against Newcastle Jets has been rescheduled, the Australian Professional Leagues (APL) announced.
Originally scheduled for Sunday at Leichhardt Oval, the Round 6 fixture involving reigning champions the Sky Blues has now been moved to Saturday at Allianz Stadium as part of a double-header with the Isuzu UTE A-League game involving Sydney FC and Western United.
Following a site visit conducted by Sydney FC and APL representatives at Leichhardt Oval over the weekend to carry out an inspection, the playing surface was deemed unsuitable and requires further recovery before hosting a Ninja A-League match.
