Ninja A-League fixture update: Melbourne City v Melbourne Victory

The Round 14 Ninja A-League clash between Melbourne City and Melbourne Victory will now kick off at 6pm (AEDT) rather than the initially slated time of 5pm (AEDT).

Based on the latest weather forecast in Victoria, the Australian Professional Leagues (APL) in consultation with the clubs has taken the proactive step to delay the start of Saturday’s Ninja A-League match between Melbourne City FC and Melbourne Victory.

In accordance with APL’s Heat Policy, A-League matches may be delayed or postponed when the Ambient Temperature measures at or above 38 degrees celsius, and/or when the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) measures at 28 degrees celsius or above. APL’s weather forecast data for ctrl:cyber Pitch on Saturday indicates that the Ambient Temperature and WBGT are set to be above these measures at the time of kick off (5:00pm).
With this in mind, the APL in consultation with Melbourne City FC have agreed to delay kick-off until 6:00pm AEDT in keeping with the safety threshold measures prescribed within AP
