Pakistan Shaheens have suffered a major setback ahead of their England tour, as off-spinner Sajid Khan has been ruled out due to injury.
Sajid fractured his right thumb during a training session at Tonbridge School Ground in Kent on Tuesday. The incident occurred just hours before the Shaheens’ first one-day match against the Professional County Club Select XI at the Kent County Cricket Ground in Beckenham.
Following a medical examination, Sajid will now return to Pakistan on the earliest available flight. He is expected to begin his treatment and rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore.
