The tournament will feature five teams from different cricketing nations, offering a prize pool of 1 million dollars.

Two-time Pakistan Super League champions, Lahore Qalandars, are set to compete in the inaugural Global Super League T20 tournament, scheduled to take place from November 26 to December 7 in Guyana.

The tournament will feature five teams from different cricketing nations, offering a prize pool of 1 million dollars.

Lahore Qalandars will be joined by teams such as the Guyana Amazon Warriors (Caribbean Premier League), Rangpur Riders (Bangladesh Premier League), and Australia’s Victoria domestic side. Additionally, Hampshire, currently undergoing a sale to the GMR Group, is rumoured to participate.

The event will follow a mini-league format, with 11 matches to be played at the Guyana National Stadium. Each team will compete in four games, with the top two teams advancing to the final. Organisers hope to make the competition an annual fixture, attracting teams from around the world.

Sir Clive Lloyd, Chairman of the Global Super League, welcomed cricket fans, stating, “This exciting new tournament will bring together the best teams and showcase the passion for cricket in Guyana to global audiences.”
