Jets legend to make 100th club appearance after re-signing for seventh-straight season

Newcastle Jets have announced veteran forward Lauren Allan has re-signed for the Ninja A-League 2025-26 season – her seventh-consecutive term at the club.

Allan has called the Jets home since the 2019-2020 season, and has scored 21 goals in 97 appearances for the club.

As she enters her seventh season with the Jets, Allan is just three appearances shy of the 100-game mark for the Jets and will surpass that impressive milestone early in the 2025-26 campaign.

The 28-year-old says she is looking forward to getting back into training, and preparing for the season ahead.

“I’m looking forward to getting back out on the field for my seventh season with the Jets, where I hope to make my family, friends and loyal fans of the club proud,” Allan said.

“It’s a fresh start under our new Head Coach, Stephen. We can start to build confidence with the aim to make the finals again this year, and hopefully make it that step further too.”

Head Coach Stephen Hoyle said, “Lauren is a local with plenty of A-League experience for the Jets.

“The effort that she gives to the cause and the hunger that she shows week in week out are qualities that you can’t have enough of in a team. I’m really looking forward to working with Lauren and seeing her be her best in a Newcastle shirt.
