In a significant development, India’s star seamer Jasprit Bumrah, who has been out of action since the last Test of BGT, has reportedly, checked in at the NCA and is all set to undergo scans ahead of the Champions Trophy.
According to reports from the Times of India, Bumrah will undergo scans, and a call will be taken on his participation in Champions Trophy 2025. Notably, Bumrah is suffering from a persistent back injury, but was named in the Champions Trophy squad with the hope that the MI star would be fit in time for the prestigious fifty-over event.
The report mentioned that Bumrah will be at the NCA for a few days where the doctors would assess him and pass on the report to selector Ajit Agarkar, as he has a week left to make changes to the Champions Trophy squad.
Bumrah Looked Pain-Free During BCCI’s Latest Award Show
Bumrah’s last public appearance was during BCCI’s annual award show ‘Naman’, where he was present alongside several members of senior side, and won the BCCI cricketer of the year award. During the event, Bumrah was smiling and looked pain-free.
