Ins & Outs Round 5: Speedster returns as Canberra legend highlights absent internationals

The teams are in ahead of Round 5 of the 2024-25 Ninja A-League season.

Western Sydney Wanderers winger Holly Caspers could make her first appearance of the season after a knee injury, in a big boost to Robbie Hooker’s side. The Wanderers take on a Melbourne City squad missing Leah Davidson and Tyla-Jay Vlajnic, with both players off on international duty.

It’s a split round in the Ninja A-League this weekend, with just two games on the agenda: Central Coast Mariners and Canberra United face off in the other game of the weekend.

Canberra will be without Michelle Heyman for Round 5, due to the 36-year-old’s participation in the CommBank Matildas’ four-game international window which begins on Thursday night in Brisbane against Brazil.
