In 2024, Paris Plages Gets in the Games!

Since its launch in 2022, Paris Plages has become an annual event that cannot be missed, with new surprises every year.

Report   !   M.Naveed

This year is no different, with the addition of a third location: the Canal Saint-Martin. Dubbed the new “Parisian Croisette”, this location promises even more swimming, relaxation and refreshment in Paris.

In addition to the swimming area near Garden Jacques Villemin, this Croisette will have seven “stops”, including Point Éphémère with its terrace and boulodrome, Bras Valmy and Jemmapes with relaxation and swimming areas, and Place des Récollets with giant games, table tennis and table football.

This new area will open on 6 July (and close on 1 September), alongside the Bassin de la Villette area, which will remain dedicated to young people and families. The historic Rives de Seine site will open later this year, on 6 August, to make way for the opening ceremony. As usual, each site will be full of activities for all ages: canoeing, pedal boats, Tai Chi, zip-lines, dance classes, table football and pop-up libraries.
