Experienced winger signs contract extension with the Mariners

Central Coast Mariners have confirmed Christian Theoharous has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.

The Isuzu UTE A-League 2025-26 campaign will be the 25-year-old’s fourth on the Coast, after arriving in January 2023.

His first two seasons with the club saw him contribute to back-to-back Isuzu UTE A-League Championships, as well as the Mariners’ historic treble win in 2023-24.

Last season, Theoharous surpassed 50 Isuzu UTE A-League appearances for the club, whilst he has played 83 games in total, scoring six goals – which he is keen to add to in 2025-26.

Head Coach Mark Jackson says he is delighted to have someone of Theoharous’ ability re-signed for the upcoming campaign.

“It is great for the club to have Christian re-signed for another year.” Jackson said.

“His experience and ability will be vital in the coming season, and he will be ready to have a big impact on the team.”

Theoharous added: “I’m very happy to have signed for another year with the Mariners.

“As a group, everyone is determined to push forward after last season, and I am looking forward to playing my part in that.”
