Even fruit and vegetable sellers know who should be coach and captain: Younis Khan criticises PCB

Younis Khan Criticizes PCB and Karachi’s Infrastructure

Former Pakistan cricket captain Younis Khan has expressed strong criticisms towards the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the state of infrastructure in Karachi. In a recent media conversation, Khan questioned the PCB’s decision-making, stating that even local vendors have better insights into the team’s leadership than the board itself. He likened the PCB’s efforts to a crow trying to mimic a swan while losing its own identity.

Younis Khan also shared concerns about the PCB’s direction, noting that coaches have previously told him that he wasn’t part of their future plans. He questioned how coaches uncertain about their own futures could determine the trajectory of players.

Additionally, Khan criticized the Sindh government, comparing Karachi’s current state to that of Mohenjo-daro, highlighting the deteriorating city infrastructure. He noted that roads are frequently rebuilt but quickly fall into disrepair, emphasizing the neglect of Karachi’s urban development.

He urged PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to reconsider his approach, stressing that while Naqvi’s intentions are good, there is a pressing need for improvement in domestic cricket and infrastructure, despite the successes of the league.
