Central Coast Mariners have signed teenage sensation Logan Sambrook on a scholarship contract, the two-time reigning Isuzu UTE A-League champions have announced.
Described as “one of the best young players in Australia” by the Mariners, the 16-year-old Subway Joeys forward arrives on a deal until at least the end of the 2025-26 season after “multiple clubs” vied for his signature.
The teenage sensation swaps Coffs Harbour for Gosford after a memorable 2024 which saw him called up the Joeys for the first time and he scored his first junior national team goal during Australia Under-17’s PacificAus Sports Football Tour.
“I am so excited to be joining the Mariners, it has been a dream of mine since I was a kid and to now be with the club is incredible,” said Sambrook.
“I can’t wait to work with Jacko and the amazing coaching staff, I know that I am going to learn so much from them to help me continue to grow as a player.
“The culture and community is so strong on the Coast, I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
Mariners head coach Mark Jackson added: “We are really excited to be able to sign a young attacking player with such high potential.
“He is a talented young footballer with huge potential who is well recognised in the Australian Junior National Team set up and we look forward to working with him to continue to help him unlock that potential.”
