Brisbane Roar have signed talented young gun Nathan Amanatidis from Isuzu UTE A-League rivals Sydney FC.
Amanatidis – an Australian youth international – arrives in Brisbane on a two-and-a-half-year deal after the Roar confirmed Thomas Waddingham’s European switch to EFL Championship side Portsmouth.
Amanatidis burst onto the scene with his performances for the Subway Joeys at the 2023 AFC Under-17 Asian Cup, where Australia reached the quarter-finals while the teenager was also called up by the Subway Young Socceroos for the 2024 Panda Cup in November.
“I’m thrilled to be signing with a fantastic club like Brisbane, known for its rich history in the A-League,” Amanatidis said.
“One of my main goals is to secure a spot in the starting 11, contributing with as many goals and assists as possible, while also helping the team achieve as many victories as we can, as we aim to compete for silverware.
“I’m looking forward to jumping right in and making a strong impact in the second half of the season.”
