15 A-Leagues talents called up by Young Socceroos for international tournament, incl. 7 debutants

Fifteen Isuzu UTE A-League prospects have been selected for the Subway Young Socceroos’ China Panda Cup International Tournament campaign this month.

A-Leagues talents make up more than half of the 23-man squad for the upcoming international youth tournament in Chengu, where Australia are among Under-19 sides from China, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia that will clash in a round-robin format.

Already qualified for the 2025 AFC U20 Asian Cup, the tournament will serve as preparation for next year’s showpiece event in Saudi Arabia.

Adelaide United’s Ryan White, Sydney FC forward Nathan Amanatidis, Dean Bosnjak of Macarthur Bulls and Perth Glory recruit Abdul Faisal are among seven players to have received their maiden Young Socceroos call-up, alongside Western Sydney Wanderers’ Jesse Cameron, Sydney FC sensation Tiago Quintal and Kayne Razmovski of Melbourne Victory.

The 15 Isuzu UTE A-League squad members selected in the Young Socceroos squad come from six clubs:

Adelaide United: Bailey O’Neil, Fabian Talladria, Ryan White
Macarthur Bulls: Dean Bosnjak, Alexander Robinson
Melbourne Victory: Jesse Hoey, Kayne Razmovski
Perth Glory: Adam Bugarija, Abdul Faisal, Jaylan Pearman
Sydney FC: Nathan Amanatidi, Gus Hoefsloot, Tiago Quintal, Tyler Williams
Western Sydney Wanderers: Jesse Cameron

“The ability to familiarise ourselves with conditions in the host nation of the Asian Cup and play competitive games in a tournament format will be extremely beneficial for the players and staff,” said Young Socceroos head coach Trevor Morgan.

“While it’s an opportunity to take some great learnings for our ongoing planning for next February, we’re also continuing to broaden the depth of players available for selection in the way we’ve structured this squad – creating competitive pressure for places is key to our success in the Asian Cup.

“Given this tournament falls within a FIFA Window, we’ve been able to bring in European-based players who have missed recent camps due to clashes with their club schedule, we feel it’s important we keep them connected with our pathway and give them every chance to stake their claim for Asian Cup selection.

Morgan added: “Those players performed well during our recent Asian Cup Qualifiers and our tour of South America, and we felt it was best to have that core group remain in Australia ahead of a busy few months of club football.

“This allows others to come into the squad, creating another opportunity for players with less international experience to show what they can bring to the team.”
